Below, you’ll find practical tips to help you get the best out of your container.
LEARN THE CORRECT WAY TO OPEN AND CLOSE YOUR CONTAINER
When opening and closing container doors, there is only one way of doing so.
Step 1: Fully open the right-hand door first.
Step 2: Then fully open the left-hand door.
⚠️ Never try to open both doors at the same time, they won’t move properly. Watch the video below to see the correct process in action.
IF DOORS DON'T WORK, YOU NEED TO LEVEL THE CONTAINER
If your container isn’t set on level ground, the doors can twist out of alignment and won’t open or close smoothly. To prevent this, make sure all four corners are evenly supported.
Don’t have a forklift or skid steer? No problem! A simple leveling jack can get the job done. Check out the video below to see how it’s done.
SPACE NEEDED TO UNLOAD A SHIPPING CONTAINER
Often times, people don't realize the space needed to unload a shipping container. As long as you have a straight line of 120ft and at least 10ft width with 15ft clearance, you'll be good to go.
